Artist & Creative Strategist · AURE Creative (pronounced "AU-RA") · Worcester, MA
If you've ever admired photos from a For One Child event, there's a good chance you were looking at Lynn Aurélie's work.
An artist, creative strategist, and self-described "lover of life, people, books, and stillness," Lynn has spent years documenting the Foundation's events and programs, and building creative spaces of her own where people of every age can tell their stories. On November 14 at Knights, Crowns & Community, For One Child Foundation will honor her with the 2026 Knight of the Realm Award.

The Fruit of Generosity
Lynn's family arrived in Worcester in 2010, after the earthquake in Haiti.
"I am the fruit of the generosity of others in so many ways," she says. "This city has poured so much into me and helped shape who I am today. It has always been important to me to pay that generosity forward and create opportunities for others to feel supported, seen, and connected."
Her mother showed her how. When the family arrived, she began building a new life by showing up and volunteering with organizations across the city. "Watching her taught me that becoming part of a community starts with being willing to show up, contribute, and connect with others," Lynn says. "I have my mother to thank for planting that seed in me."
This Is Your Archive
Today, Lynn pays it forward through This Is Your Archive, her community-centered creative project. Its activations invite people to share their stories, connect with one another, and make something together. Every program is intentionally free, accessible to people of all abilities, and engaging across generations.
The stories are what keep her coming back. "A doctor might laugh about how long it's been since they used a glue stick, while a child shares how much fun they're having making something they wouldn't otherwise have the supplies to make at home," she says. "Watching people of different ages and backgrounds let go, get curious, and lean into the experience is so enriching. Those moments remind me why I do this work."

A Heart for Young Voices
More and more, Lynn's heart is turning toward children and teens, especially young people who have lived through trauma or hardship.
"I wish I had that kind of space and agency growing up, so now I want to create that for others," she says. She wants to build safe, affirming spaces where kids can find their voices, feel heard, and get connected to the professional support they need.
That's where her work and For One Child's mission meet. Lynn was introduced to the Foundation by Dr. Sheri-Ann McLean-Williams, who connected her with Founder Racquel Knight. Her favorite experience since then? Photographing the annual fundraiser. "The guests bring the best energy, and we always end the night with so much joy and laughter. It's a beautiful experience that Racquel has curated. You just had to be there!"

Off the Clock
- Surprising fact: "I can work a room, but I'm actually an introvert!" After a lot of people time, she needs to recharge, often in a park, reading a book, "literally rolling around in the grass."
- Where you'll find her: In a library, checking out her 10th book and settling in to read for hours. One day it's nonfiction about independent women building healthy connections; the next it's a murder mystery set at a wedding on a remote island.
- Her flowers go to: Kellie Becker, her guidance counselor at North High School. "She saw my potential, believed in me, and pushed me to see possibilities for myself. Ten years later, I still make a point of giving her her flowers."
"You must do the thing you think you cannot do." — Eleanor Roosevelt, Lynn's favorite quote
Her Advice
"Literally, just show up. Find a cause that interests you, show up, and see where it takes you. Sometimes showing up for one thing leads you to the next thing you want to pour your energy into. You don't have to have it all figured out. Just start somewhere."
The Legacy She's Building
"A generation of children who know how to think critically, express themselves freely, and make things with their own hands. I want children to feel empowered to question, explore, experiment, and bring their ideas to life."
Want to bring This Is Your Archive to your space? Lynn is always looking for new partners, from wellness events and conferences to college campuses, after-school programs, and community gatherings. Connect with AURE Creative to collaborate.
We'll celebrate Lynn at Knights, Crowns & Community on Saturday, November 14, 2026. Thank you to everyone joining us for a sold-out evening honoring the people investing in the next generation.
